Alice in Wonderland Review
64Mad Hatter
Review=Some Spoilers! Beware :)
"What is the difference between a raven and a writing desk?" Mad Hatter whispers to Alice.
"I do not know. What is the difference between them?" Alice puzzled but intrigued.
The Mad Hatter stares into Alice's baby blue eyes and then grins. "I have not the slightest idea." They both smile at each other.
Tim Burton has done it again. Walt Disney and the visionary director Tim Burton have pulled a excellent fantasy adventure for the family. ALICE IN WONDERLAND is such a magical place and will have your imagination swirling with ideas till the very end.
Where to begin? Johnny Depp never fails to be the best Character-Actor out there. He plays the crazy but marvelousMad Hatter. Who really does steal the show. Mad Hatter is the heart of Wonderland. Yes indeed he is a bit on the mad side and can ramble off into his own crazy world. Nevertheless, the Mad Hatter will capture your hearts as he guides his beloved friend Alice around Wonderland. I was very impressed with the way they portrayed the Mad Hatter. In my eyes, he was my favorite character in the entire movie. Good job Johnny.
Mia Wasikowska plays the character of Alice. And a terrific job she did! We watched this character transform throughout this movie, from a girl to a women. We watched Alice start off as a lost and unordinary girl. However when Alice runs from her issues and falls into Wonderland it begins a magical and life changing journey. This time Alice returns to Wonderland and embarks on a adventure to end the Red Queens reign of terror and to find her own true destiny. Alice is reunited with all her original friends like the Rabbit, Tweedledee & Tweedledum, the dormouse, the caterpillar and of course the Mad Hatter.
Helena Bonham Carter plays the fierce Red Queen. Her head twice the size of her body and her attitude as evil as ever. The Red Queen has it out for everyone and has taken over Wonderland. She is angry with her "perfect sister" The White Queen. "Off with their heads" The Red queen screamed and pointed.
I was very shocked and proud with Anne Hathaway's performance. I did not take her as a Tim Burton character/actor. She has proved me wrong. Anne Hathaway played The White Queen. She did a excellent job as well. The White Queen is the sister of the Red Queen. Only the White Queen shows good and kindness.
Over all I was very impressed with the plot. This was a sequel to the original Disney Alice in wonderland and the book of course. I loved the story line. I do not want to spoil the movie. However I give it a thumbs up! Go see it!
This is a deep fantasy movie. I think it is a wonderful family movie. I don't think it would set well with young children. But this is a wonderful movie. Not creepy or Horror. The best word is magical.
If I could change one thing about the movie I would change the ending a bit. Being a hopeless romantic and all. I understood why Alice had to leave Wonderland. But my heart was throbbing the entire time she said goodbye to the Mad Hatter. I would have added a new character in on the ending. When Alice returned home she joined her fathers business and jumped on a ship to China. I would have added a ship crew member to talk to Alice. Preferably Johnny Depp and made him reflect the Mad Hatter's character. So she would find someone just like the Mad Hatter. Just my opinon.

Welcome to Hub Pages. I look froward to reading more of your Hubs!
I thought it was great but my wife didn't seem to like it much! Thanks for the review!
I also really loved it, I went into it thinking I would hate it because it looked like a radical re-interpretation of the book. But it's really just a sequel. I liked that about it. They didn't try to change it, just continue it.
Watched it yesterday with my 2 year old son. Was ok I guess...
I haven't seen the movie. The truth is I never cared much for the original story. I much prefer the stores of OZ and the Narnia series. Alice in wonderland just never made sense. Tho maybe that was the point? Anyway a good hub.
